This landmark civil rights legislation increases access and opportunity for people with disabilities across community life. \n\n\n\nAnd now…for the main event! The Kohl’s Charity Fashion Show is such an amazing event of love\, respect and self-advocacy! You will be introduced to 36 individuals among our community with “Human Needs” because we all are “Special” providing them another way to show the world that they belong. Our models visit Kohl’s Dept Store where they chose 2 outfits to wear…a day and evening attire. On the night of the event\, they hit the runaway strutting and showcasing the latest fashions from Kohl’s. At The Arc of the Bay\, we teach Self-Advocacy\, Self-Choice and Self-Determination and this amazing event allows them another opportunity to let their voices be heard. At The Arc of the Bay\, we teach Self-Advocacy\, Self-Choice and Self-Determination and this amazing event allows them another opportunity to let their voices be heard. DESCRIPTION:The 3rd Annual Charity Fashion Show (Presented by Phoenix Construction) is scheduled for Friday\, July 26th at the Edgewater Beach Resort. It’s an exciting time for The Arc of the Bay as we continue to grow. We are meeting the needs and providing life employment skills to over 250 adults with disabilities allowing them to lead a more productive and independent lifestyle. Our community and our organization continues to confront a time of recovery and many changes I’m proud to say that we’re meeting these changes head-on. In the world of INCLUSION\, we’re advocating for individuals with disabilities. We are providing them opportunities for gainful employment in our community in which they are able to work and play. Our goal is to continue to meet and bring inspired people together in events like this which allows The Arc of the Bay to remain on the cutting edge in providing these services. \nDuring this event\, you will be introduced to 30 special individuals who will have the opportunity to showcase the latest trends and fashions from T.J. Maxx. This event allows these wonderful folks the opportunity to express themselves. They look forward in sharing with you their pride\, personality and their own personal style…who they are!
