10th Annual Charity Fashion Show

Thanks to the continued support of our community, The Arc of the Bay now serves individuals across a 10-county region, providing life skills, employment training and opportunities for more than 450 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to empower each person to live a more independent, productive and fulfilling life.
This year also marks 36 years since the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law, a landmark piece of civil rights legislation that expanded opportunities and accessibility for people with disabilities across every aspect of community life. While much progress has been made, events like the Kohl’s Charity Fashion Show continue to celebrate inclusion, self-expression and the unique abilities of every individual we serve. The Kohl’s Charity Fashion Show is much more than a fundraiser. It is an unforgettable evening of confidence, celebration and self-advocacy. Thirty-six individuals from our community will take center stage after selecting their own daytime and evening outfits during a special shopping experience at Kohl’s. As they walk the runway showcasing the latest fashions, they are also showcasing their personalities, confidence and independence.
At The Arc of the Bay, we believe in teaching self-advocacy, self-choice and self-determination. This event gives our models the opportunity to be seen, celebrated and heard while reminding our community that everyone deserves to belong. The cheers, applause and joyful tears shared throughout the evening create lasting memories for our participants, their families and everyone in attendance.
